ProQuest Ebook Central - search, read, highlight, and annotate more than 180,000 full-text books in subject areas that include the social sciences and humanities.
Accessing ProQuest Central Database:
1. Go to CLR's website at https://clr.benilde.edu.ph/clr
2. Click on "A-Z databases list" button
3. In the A-Z databases list, click on letter "P" and look for "ProQuest Ebook Central"
4. Log in using your InfoNet credentials (For students, the username is your Benilde ID number)
5. You can also create your personal account on ProQuest Ebook Central. Go to ‘Sign In,’ then click ‘Create Account'. Creating a personal account on ProQuest Ebook Central lets users save eBooks to a bookshelf, highlight and take notes, track reading progress, download titles for offline access, and easily manage citations - all in one convenient, personalized space.
6. Search for books by entering a keyword, ISBN, or other terms into the search box. For more search options, click "Advanced Search" or "Browse Subjects".
7. Narrow search results using Book Status, Year Published, Subject, Language, and Author at the left panel.
8. Learn more about a book by clicking its title or "Table of Contents and more". The detail page will show the book's availability for online reading and download, copy and print allowances, and bibliographic data.
9. Download the full contents or by chapter.
- Full eBook download: Use the ProQuest Ebook Central App on your phone, tablet, or laptop to download the complete eBook for offline reading. Follow the instructions in the FAQ link below on how to download and set up the ProQuest Ebook Central App.

- Chapter download: If you only need specific sections, you may download individual chapters as PDFs from the table of contents. Downloaded chapters do not expire.
10. Open a book for reading by clicking "Read Online".
11. Navigate within a book by flipping or scrolling through pages, jumping to relevant chapters, or searching for text within the book. To maximize the reading panel, hide the left panel by clicking x.
12. Get a citation for a selected book, in your choice of format, by clicking "Get a citation". Citations are also automatically included when you copy, print or page-range download.
