WorldCat Discovery (WCD) has been redesigned to enhance the user experience and increase access to the most used pages in the interface. This new version will be rolled out to the Benildean community on July 12, 2021.

There are 2 ways to access WCD's "advanced search":

Similarly, the featured related links, which includes the LRC Website and our off-campus access portal, can either be accessed from the top menu bar or at the bottom of the page |

You can either use the "Sign In" link at the top right corner or at the bottom of the page. Once signed in, this area will feature links to the user's LRC account-related pages, including "Checkouts" and "Fees". |

The floating widget of "Chat with LaRCy" will always be at the bottom right as the user browses the WCD pages, ready to accept any query regarding LRC resources and services. When clicked, it will open a separate popup window for a live chat with a librarian (within LRC service hours only). |

User can view existing filters and add more search filters in the left panel. Retention of previous filters to new searches is the default behavior in every session. Under Additional Databases are links to other databases that is optimized to be searched outside WorldCat Discovery. For now, only Proquest Dissertations and Theses (PQDT) is listed in this area. Click the database name to continue searching with the search terms in that database. To dismiss this area, click the downward-facing chevron beside “Additional Databases”. The area will collapse as a separate floating widget at the bottom right beside the “Chat with LaRCy” widget. Click this widget to display the Additional Databases area again. |
