JSTOR contains the full-text of more than 2,800 journals from 1,200 publishers, with publication dates ranging from 1665 to 2020 (for certain titles). Journals are available in more than 75 disciplines in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences and mathematics.

Accessing JSTOR Database:

1. Go to CLR's website at https://clr.benilde.edu.ph/clr

2. Click on "A-Z databases list" button

3. In the A-Z databases list, click on letter "Jand look for "JSTOR"

4. Log in using your InfoNet credentials (For students, it is your ID number)

5. Performing a content search

  • Use the search bar to type in your topic or search for journals, books, images, and primary sources.
  • Click on “Advanced Search” to access more search options. Use Boolean operators to refine results:
    • AND - narrows results (e.g., climate AND migration)

    • OR - broadens results (e.g., teen OR adolescent)

    • NOT - excludes terms (e.g., bats NOT baseball)

 

6. Working with search results

  • Use the "Refine Results" to filter the results by academic content, primary source content, date, subject and language.    
  • Sort the results by relevance (Newest or Oldest Publications).
  • Select your preferred article from the results page to view its details and access the full-text copy.

 

7. Working with a document details page.

  • Content Access: You have the option to read the content online or download the full-text article in PDF.
  • Cite: The platform provides an immediate citation; simply select your preferred citation format.
